Professor Mark Skilton lectures and researches on the ‘internet of things’ and can talk about the jobs that computers could take over in the future.

  • The IT rev remove some white collar workers,

    • legal jobs

    • hedge fund managers,

    • jobs that involve going through large amount of documents will go. Some tasks of traders will be automated,

anything to summarise and searching large information can be automated. This can be automated through algorithms.

  • Customer facing rolls, placing orders, search and placing of orders

    • So we need to know what jobs will be going I can think of delivery van drivers maybe going with Amazon’s drones, but what middle class jobs will taken by robots and computers?
