I am an invited Judge for the EU Smart Crowdsourcing Challenges Competition for Business Model Innovation and Innovative Policies. Many thanks to InnoCentive who are managing these and for the kind invitation. Looking forward to seeing the submissions.
The EU Smart Crowdsourcing Challenges are open-innovation prize competitions that seek to gain an understanding of the current and future challenges for information and communication technology enabled growth and jobs in the EU. Following on from the Digital Agenda for Europe, the European Commission is seeking innovative submissions that will help design future EU policy and directives. A prize pot of $5,000 is on offer for each of the Challenges.
The Challenges are currently ongoing and can be found here and here. The competitions are being ran during March and April.

Submissions to this Challenge must be received by 11:59 PM Central European Summer Time (5:59 PM US Eastern Daylight Time) on 02-Apr-2014. Late submissions will not be considered.
All Solvers that submitted a proposal will be notified on the status of their submissions; however, no detailed evaluation of individual submissions will be provided.
Note, whilst the Challenge focuses on the EU, submissions are welcome from all over the world.
The assessment of the Challenges is based around the judging and deliberation of a panel of Industry and Academic experts from various backgrounds. This high-caliber panel will help reward the highest quality submissions and decide how the prize fund should be allocated. There are two co-current Challenges that will be running.
