Title : New technologies and the impact on the CIO’s role
Cloud computing is now one of the core business technologies for enabling organizations to build productive, cost effective environments. But with the rise of enterprise cloud and systems now connecting to social media, mobility, big data, internet of things, machine learning, cyber intelligence and much more; the enterprise of tomorrow is now a rapidly changing place.
In this session we look at a recent survey assessing this impact across 500 organizations, cross-sector, called the “Digital barometer” and consider the impact on leadership, culture, skills, organization and relationships with employees, customers and governance.
We will then distil this into case study examples of how businesses are either targeting specific technologies, business processes, products, and services or their entire operating model using a “Digital maturity” model to help build a business case for this increasingly complex and varied economic environment.
Finally, we summarize and discuss key learning points around critical roles and skills and the leadership styles and personalities that are unfolding and how might your business position itself for a successful digital destination.
